Patterns of transportation development in Thailand in the past lead to compound environmental and health problems as well as national expense. There is therefore a need for urgent action for integration to sustainable development, ranging inter alia from the promotion of integrated transport policies and plans, the upgrading of transport infrastructures to developing innovative mass transit schemes.

ASDECON has been contributing to infrastructural development in both rural and urban regions of the country. Transportation

Since its inception, ASDECON has been involved in Thailand 's transport infrastructure development through the survey and design of roads in remote areas across the country.

The roads – non-asphaltic, paved or concrete – considerably facilitate transportation of people as well as agricultural produce all year round, resulting in improved quality of life. Its clients have included the Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning, the Office of the Accelerated Rural Development, RID and the Agricultural Land Reform Office.

ASDECON has also participated in various types of transportation development. Its services range from feasibility study, survey and immovable property survey to construction supervision. Many projects on the construction of various bypasses, rural roads identified by comprehensive planning and a logistics strategy, urban roads, bridges and interchanges initiated by the Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning and the Department of Highways are ASDECON's major accomplishments. Among its credentials are construction of community bridges in various regions and construction of the interchange at Phetkasem Road , Ratchaphruek-Nakhon In underpass, and the roads identified by the Department of Rural Roads' logistics strategy.

The main transport network: ASDECON has provided services for the Department of Highways' projects on state highways, interchanges and motorways, and the Expressway Authority of Thailand's projects on expressways. Its credentials include feasibility study and detailed design for Laem Chabang-Sa Kaeo- Mukdahan Road , weighing stations on highways across the country, the Sara Buri-Bang Pakong and Nakhon Pathom-Cha Am motorways, the expressway substitution for the Phaya Thai-Phuttamonthon Expressway and the expressway to Suvarnabhumi Airport (M1).

Bangkok Road and Bridge: ASDECON was entrusted with many projects to address traffic problems in Bangkok , such as improvement of Phetkasem Road ,Nimit Mai Road , the overpass on Rama IV Road , the Rama VIII Bridge , traffic management on Chaeng Watthana Road to facilitate transport to and from the Government Complex and traffic management on Phetchaburi Road .

Road for Tourism : ASDECON was responsible for the feasibility study, EIA, planning and survey for the road along the Royal Coast in Phetchaburi, Prachuab Khirikhan, Chumphon and Ranong provinces and the road on the bank of Songkhla Lake in Phatthalung Province .

Mass Transit: This is an efficient mode of transport which conserves energy and alleviates traffic problems. ASDECON was involved in the development of railway substitute route at Pa Sak Jolasid Dam, the elevated train system in Bangkok and the extensions of the Bangkok Mass Rapid Transit System.
