Water

Floods and droughts are natural phenomena – risks of occurrence are likely to continue to grow. Progressive climate variability and change have aggravated flood and drought hazards in many regions. Ever-increasing and conflicting demands from agriculture, industry, urban water supply and energy production have caused the use and abuse of available precious water resources over the past decades. Given the importance of water to human livelihoods and ecosystem health, the integrated management of water resources has become a prime concern.

To achieve sustainable water resources development and management, ASDECON provides feasibility studies, design, construction supervision, policy advice, equipment and system development, operation and maintenance services at the national level to support decision-making for water management strategies.

Water Engineering

Effective development of water resources and irrigation systems accounts for Thailand's position as the foremost rice-exporting country in the world as well as for rapid urban and industrial growth in the country during the past two decades.

As a specialist in water resource management, ASDECON has been entrusted by various agencies – public and private, domestic and international such as the Royal Irrigation Department, the Department of Water Resources, Office of the National Economic and Social Development Board, the World Bank, ADB, JICA, to name but a few – with work related to water resource development and flood prevention.
